Lehn, Erlene Catherine
Erlene Catherine Lehn died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at English Valley Care Center, North English, at the age of 73 years. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Williamsburg. Father Joseph Roost will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg, where there will be a prayer service at 3 p.m.
Erlene was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Marceline, Mo., the daughter of Orville “Bud” and Evelyn Elizabeth (Wehner) Chrisman. She graduated in 1955 from Williamsburg High School. On April 11, 1959, she was united in marriage to Harold Lehn at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Holbrook.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Holbrook, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Williamsburg, and the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed camping, attending horse shows, singing, dancing and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Harold, of Parnell; children, Deb (Bob) Thurman of Waterloo, Bob Lehn of Parnell, Julie Lehn of Phoenix, Ariz., and Amy Lehn of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Jean (Mike) Koenighain of Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Christina Thurman.
A general memorial fund has been established.
