Lefebure, Marilyn Jean

Marilyn Jean Lefebure, 81, of Forsyth, Mo., was born in Clinton, Iowa, and passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

She was the only child of Ray L. and Margaret (Bruggenwirth) Mather, who preceded her in death along with her husband, Roland H. Lefebure.

After attending Coe College in Cedar Rapids, for two years she married Roland H. Lefebure of Cedar Rapids. Together they parented four children of whom they were very proud. Marilyn retired from Norwest Mortgage Company, Cedar Rapids in 1993, after almost 21 years at which time she and her husband moved to Forsyth, Mo. Roland passed away in 2002, after 51 years of sharing their life together. In the early years, they loved to take family vacations across the states and spent many weekends on the upper Mississippi River fishing, camping and boating.

As an avid reader, she was a volunteer at the Forsyth Library for many, many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie N. Perkumas and husband Joseph of Tucson, Ariz.; sons, Steven C. Lefebure and wife Susan of West Chester, Pa., Randall S. Lefebure and wife Cheryl of Big Pine, Calif., and Brian R. Lefebure of Lee's Summit, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Kristin, John, Christina, Grace, Mackenzie, Jesse, Luke, Jamie and Chase; one great-grandson, Aiden.
