Leeper, Mabel A.
Mabel A. Leeper, 82, of 3710 Van Fossen Lane, Toddville, died at her home on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, after a sudden illness. Graveside services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond (Marjorie) of Tacoma, Wash., and David (Connie) of Center Point; two daughters, Diana (John) Kaeser of Cedar Rapids, and Debbie (Terry) Leonard of Toddville; two sisters, Virginia LeMatty of Montrose, and Verna (Don) White of Keokuk; and one brother, Ernie (Marianne) Derr of Keokuk.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Guy; and a granddaughter, Lori.
Mabel was born on Feb. 6, 1929, in Charleston, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Alice Frueh Derr. She married Raymond E. Leeper on Nov. 2, 1946, in Kahoka, Mo. He died in 2009.
Mabel was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to the casino, flower gardening, dancing, camping and traveling. Mabel was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established in Mabel's name.
