LEE EDWARD CHRISTNER
Rexburg, Idaho
Lee Edward Christner, 82, of Rexburg, Idaho, and Quartzsite, Ariz., formerly of Washington, Iowa, passed at his home in Quartzsite, Ariz., on Jan. 29, 2021.
He was born on June 5, 1938, in Washington, Iowa, a son of Joseph Harold and Hazel Irene Christner. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 1960 to October 1961 when he was released on a medical discharge. Lee worked for the State Highway Commission for 23 years as an area sales rep for eight years for Texas Refinery Roofing Materials.
His favorite things were training and riding horses and dancing the jitterbug with his mom to their song, "Good Hearted Woman."
Lee is survived by his wife of 19 years, LeeRaye; children, Kenny (Ginny) of Swisher and Jim (Lorilei) Christner of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; Lee has one surviving sister, Judy (Larry) Rotenberger of Mexico, Mo.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Dale Christner; and a sister, Ferne Craft-Kruser.
Services will be held at a later date with arrangements being made by the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.
