Lee A. Walker, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023. A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lee was born March 3, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Walter and Mable (Warner) Walker. He graduated from high school and entered the United States Army, where he served in Germany. Lee was united in marriage to Kathleen Merriam on March 18, 1973, in Boone County. He worked for the United States Postal Service. Lee enjoyed taking his 1959 Cadillac to car shows.
Survivors include his children, Floyd Walker, Ginger Deaton, John (Jacque) Walker, and Jimmy (Virginia) Walker; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Walker in 2016; brothers, Bill and Walter Walker; and son-in-law, Randy Deaton.
