Leaf, Darlene Beverly
Darlene Beverly Leaf, 83, of Tipton, died Jan. 14, 2011, at Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehab. Services will be held at a later date.
Darlene was born July 18, 1927, the daughter of Joseph Hugh and Elva Charlotte (Schisler) Rife. She was a 1945 graduate of Tipton High School and attended Tipton Junior College. Darlene married Robert Eugene Leaf on June 6, 1949, in Tipton.
Darlene is survived by her daughters, Ginger A. Ford and Gwen S. Emrich, both of Tipton; sons, Robert Leaf Jr. of Hazelton and Wayne Leaf of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother, Marvin Rife of Knobnoster, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on June 5, 2002; sisters, Marie Wood, Myrna Rife, Mary Starkey, Elva Gade, Hazel Bosley and Donna Fabor; and brothers, Floyd, Glen and Paul Rife.
