Lawton King Anderson, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at Evergreen Estates after a short illness. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lawton King Anderson was born Sept. 30, 1923, to William and Mabel (King) Anderson. Lawton served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Dolores Machula on June 28, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo. Lawton was employed at Rockwell Collins for 30 years.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Pamela (Keith) Ketelsen of Festus, Mo.; grandson, Richard (Kris) Ketelsen of Maple Grove, Minn.; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores, in 2013; four brothers and three sisters.
