Lawson, Ronald Dean 'Ronnie'
Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Lawson, 18, of Manchester, died on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, as the result of an accident near Dundee. Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. John Flaherty as Celebrant. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester and after
9 a.m. at the church on Friday. Private burial at a later date in Forestville Cemetery, Dundee.
Ronnie was born Jan. 21, 1991, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He was raised and educated in Manchester and currently a senior at West Delaware High School. During his junior year, he enlisted with the United States Army Reserve and completed Boot Camp at Fort Jackson, S.C. He was currently private first class with the Army Reserve and employed during his senior year at the Days Inn in Manchester.
Ronnie enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, fishing, camping, and his truck.
Survivors include his parents, Todd and Trish Lawson of Manchester; maternal grandparents, Janet and Dick Lynott of Hiawatha; paternal grandparents, David and Sandy Lawson of Manchester; great-grandmother, Viola Hackbarth of Manchester; uncle, Rob (Paula) Keller of Amber; aunt, Angela (Ryan) Wicks of Manchester; and his special friend, Courtney Ahlers of Worthington.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Keller.
