Lawrence "Larry" LeClere, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be noon Friday, Jan. 9, at Hopkinton Community Church, with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery, with military honors. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Surviving are his wife, Zetta; six children, Kathy (Doug) Brown, Hopkinton, Peggy (Dennis) Enneking, Marion, Jackie (Jose) Baca and John LeClere, both of Mesquite, Texas, Darrell LeClere, Denton, Texas, and CeCe (Kevin) Renner, Rockwall, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Ron (Deb), Buck Creek, Barney (Esther), Monticello, Berneice Friest, Phoenix, Ariz., Charlene Goodreau, Cedar Rapids, Eula Svehla, Las Vegas, Nev., and James, Scotch Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Vera Danielle LeClere; two brothers, Dale and Eugene; a brother-in-law, Sonney Goodreau; and a sister-in-law, Annie LeClere.
Larry was a machinist for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and in Dallas for 45 years.
