LAWRENCE "LARRY" G. JENKINS
Shellsburg
Lawrence "Larry" G. Jenkins of Shellsburg, Iowa, passed away Sept. 4, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a short illness. Private family services are to be held at a later date.
Larry was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Erie Pa., the son of Meredith "Jerry" and Nellie "Nell" Terrell (Albertson) Jenkins.
Larry is survived by his wife, Anna "Jane" (Meisel) Jenkins, whom he married on June 13, 1953, in Erie Pa. Larry is also survived by children, Lawrence E. (Theresa) Jenkins of Savage, Minn., Robert J. (Wanda) Jenkins of Atkins, Iowa, Patricia A. (Steve) Stickler of Durand, Mich., and Susan E, (Jeff) Grosclaude of Marion, Iowa; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; grandson, Jordon Grosclaude; and great-grandsons, Rowan Jenkins and Hudson Jenkins.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, having designed and building a multitude of furniture and cabinetry pieces, restoring Ford Model A automobiles, and the designing and drawing of numerous house floor plans.
Larry was highly respected amongst various clubs for his love of antique cars, especially Model As and fine craft wood working sites.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
