Dr. Larry Hennessey, 83, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at home.
Born in Brandon, Iowa, he was the son of Anna (Killias) and Maurice Hennessey. After serving in the Army, he graduated from Loras College and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and was a general surgeon and family physician in Madison, Ohio.
Larry is survived by his wife, Donna (Polombo); children, Lauren (Michael) Gattuso, Marisa Hennessey, Kevin (Sonia) Hennessey, Gwendolyn Hennessey, Patrick (Sally) Hennessey, Damian (Terri) Hennessey, Lawrence Hennessey Jr., and James Hennessey; grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin, Morgan, Monica, Owen, Mariah and Taylor; great-granddaughter, Abby; sisters, Catherine (Eugene) DeLucia, Marilyn (Bob) McElligott, Sister Gwen O.S.F.; brother, Maurice Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, James; brothers, Tom, Jack (JoLynn), Dave (LaVera) and Father Ron M.M.; and sisters, Sister Dorothy O.S.F, Monica (Jerome) Krebsbach, Geraldine (Donald) Welter, Sister Miriam O.S.F. and Mary June (Jim) McDonald.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, at Potti Funeral Home in Madison, Ohio. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. Interment: North Madison Cemetery.
