Law, Jessie A. (Holland)
Jessie A. (Holland) Law, 86, passed away July 24, 2009, at Colonial Manor of Amana after a short illness with cancer. Per Jessie's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. She requested family only and private inurnment after cremation.
Jessie was born Feb. 25, 1923, to Amber (Linn) and Ole B. Holland in the family home in Norway, Iowa. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church and graduated from Norway High School. She went on to be an exceptional beautician for over 50 years and so enjoyed all of her customers.
She is survived by her loving sister, Harriet Pickart of Amana; and brother, Robert Holland of Norway. Also, many nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Aunt Jessie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brothers, Harris of Denver, Colo., and Mayo of Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Marge Holland and Thelma Holland; and brother-in-law, David Pickart.
Jessie had a heart of gold and was loved by so many. The loving care and kindness shown to Jessie by everyone at Colonial Manor and Essence of Life Hospice was beyond words. Thanks to all for her exceptional care and love.
Memorials may be made to Colonial Manor and Essence of Life Hospice in Amana.
The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is handling arrangements.
