LaVerne Louise Troester (Mrs. Oscar Troester), 93, of Garnavillo, Iowa, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at the Elkader Care Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, with the Rev. Gary Hatcher as officiant. There will be a two-hour visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before services Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Garnavillo Cemetery. Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elkader, is assisting the family with arrangements.
