Laura Ruble, 92, of Cedar Rapids, went home to Jesus on the 14th of April 2021.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Cindi; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck
Ruble; son, Rick Ruble;
sister, Alice Barta; brother, Eddie Smothers; and her parents, Joe and Leona Smothers.She spent almost four decades as an assembly operator at Square D. She was a woman of great faith, and spent time with her congregation at Sharon United Methodist. She loved the outdoors and spent many years with her family going
to rendezvous.
There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed in the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required. A private family service will be held at Cedar Memorial followed by burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
