Larson, Harry L. Sr.
Harry L. Larson Sr., 83, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Iowa City Veterans Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will be held at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City, Iowa. Cedar Memorial Park is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his two sons, Leland Larson and Harry (Cathy) Larson Jr.; one sister, Marie Janderzak of Huntley, Iowa; and a brother, Donald (Janice) Larson of Amana, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Larson; four sisters, Mary, Pauline Tomash, Ruth Chase, Irene Runyan; and three brothers, Raymond, Howard, and Leo Larson.
Harry L. Larson Sr. was born June 5, 1928 in Central City, Iowa, the son of Walter and Dorcas (Barrett) Larson. Harry worked for the Linn County Road Department. He was a proud member of the United States Army. Harry very much enjoyed traveling and card playing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
