Larsen, Loretta Cecelia
Loretta Cecelia Larsen, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Graveside services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Loretta was born April 17, 1925, on a farm near Solon, the daughter of Ed and Cecilia (Rushek) Dvorsky. She married Robert Larsen on Sept. 23, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif. She worked for over 42 years as a systems analyst for Rocketdyne, a division of North American Aviation (later Rockwell Corporation), retiring on Dec. 31, 1989.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Bob Larsen; two grandsons, Todd Larsen and Daniel Larsen; a great-granddaughter, Jacqueline Larsen; a great-grandson, Dylan Thomas Larsen; as well a niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Thomas Edward Larsen; two brothers, Don and Harry Dvorsky; and one sister, Nadine Thompson.
