Larry Wayne McCallister was born August 5, 1941, in Williamsburg, IA, the son of C. Wayne and Eleanora (Schlesselman) McCallister. Larry died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at his home, at the age of 82 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou; three daughters, Annette (Mark) Shannahan, of Parnell, Shari (Jeff) Bruck, of Denison, and Bonnie (David) Schlak, of Marengo; 9 grandchildren, Chris Spicer, Kailey, Leah and Megan Shannahan, Madison, Katelyn and Jacob Bruck, Kyle and Grace Schlak; and his sister, Judy (Jim) Tinnes, of Webster. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary McCallister.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established.
