LARRY OSTEN

Larry Osten, 60, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015. Family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremations Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughter, Rachel (Pete Tamayo) Osten; mother, Alberta Osten; and siblings, Charles (Peter Osborne) Osten, Terry (Vicky) Osten, Ray (Shelly) Osten, Jerry Osten and Garry (Jolande) Osten.
He was preceded in death by his father and wife, Christine.
Larry was born on Dec. 15, 1954, in Newton, Iowa, the son of Charles William and Alberta (Hartman) Osten. He served in the Army in the early 70s. Larry married Christine Sullivan in St. Louis, Mo., in 1981. He worked as a high rise window cleaner in St. Louis for 10 years. Larry enjoyed doing construction work, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
