Larry K. Plotz, 80, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
A funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories where visitation will start at 9:30 AM. Burial with military rites will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his brother, Kenneth Plotz of Cedar Rapids; Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews including special nieces, Julie (Kelley) Prull & Judie Gofton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Plotz in 2016.
Larry Keith Plotz was born July 11, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Beatrice (Cox) Plotz. In June of 1968, he married Barbara White and they then lived in the Cedar Rapids area. Larry was a veteran of the Iowa National Guard and was a Linn Co. Deputy for many years.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
