After a long battle with cancer, Larry James Shreeves passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was one day away from celebrating his 65th birthday and celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife Sherri on Feb. 22.
Throughout his life, Larry consistently stepped up to care for others. He prided himself on being a great husband, son and brother, but the title he did best was Dad. Larry stepped up and raised four children: his nephew, Jesse and his three children, Maxie, Matthew (Angel) and Jessica (Aaron). He continued to show his love by spoiling his grandchildren Jonah, Noralynn and Azlyn; along with his fur babies, Casey and Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Donna Shreeves; along with his siblings, Lynn, Linda and David.
The family of Larry would like to thank his father-in-law, Carlos; aunt, Barbie; and his brother-in-law, Mike; along with the staff of Mercy Hospice and other support received during this time.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:3o to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at New Life Community Church at 275 29th Ave. Marion, IA 52302.
