Larry D. Garringer, 69, of Osceola, Mo., died June 27, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Yankee Point Cemetery in Parnell. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is assisting his family with local arrangements.
Larry was born April 20, 1948, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Glenn and Maymie (Burkett) Garringer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. On Feb. 14, 2000, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Snider in Osceola.
His family includes his wife, Evelyn; brothers, Dale, Joe, Glen and Ben; sister, Theresa; and his children, Bryan, Daniel and Christy.
