Larry H. Edwards, 61, of Marion, died at his home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Private family entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 17.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; four daughters, Nicole (Matthew) Arnold of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer (Zain) Haq of Omaha, Neb., Katelynn (Kevin) Schuver of Cedar Rapids and Allison Edwards of Marion; a brother, Steven (Kristi) of Mesa, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Erin and Emma Arnold and Paisley Schuver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was born Feb. 4, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Lillian Stodola Edwards. He married Karen A. Bousek on June 12, 1982, in Cedar Rapids.
Larry was a delivery driver for Hy-Vee for over 40 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the IGHSAU. He enjoyed gardening, especially taking great pride in his lawn, and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Larry also enjoyed birds, umpiring girls' softball, vacations at Lake Okoboji and sleepovers with his granddaughters.
Larry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be given to the Canary Society.
