Langhurst, Nell
Nell Langhurst, 93, of Iowa City, died peacefully Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Nell deeded her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. No services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Nellie Olevia Langhurst was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Eldora, the daughter of Claren J. and Olivia Blanche (DeWitt) Hinshaw. She married Ray Langhurst Aug. 8, 1942, in Cedar Rapids. Nell was a longtime resident of the Cedar Rapids/Marion area.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Jake) Parizek of Iowa City and Ross (Cindee) Langhurst of Shawano, Wis.; four grandchildren, Nathan Langhurst of Stevens Point, Wis., Katie (Justin) Popp of Shawano, and Chris Parizek and Molly Parizek, both of Iowa City; and four great-grandchildren.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Claren Jennings Hinshaw and Harvey Hinshaw; and one sister, Elvira Wehrman.
