Langguth, Mildred 'Midge' Ellen

Mildred “Midge” Ellen Langguth, 82, formerly of Palo, passed away Oct. 9, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Marcia, in Avondale, Ariz. Private services will be at the home of Marcia and Jay Perry in Arizona, with private graveside services in Palo Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, Sandy Grant of Palo, Marcia Perry of Avondale, Ariz., Linda Griffin of Cedar Rapids, Tracy Langguth of Cedar Rapids and Louis Jr. “Bud” Langguth of Cedar Rapids; brother, Russell Laird Daniels; sister, Letha Rae Blanchard; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “LaVerne” Langguth.

She was born June 24, 1927, in Plano, Iowa, and married Louis “LaVerne” Langguth on Nov. 11, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1983. She was an avid camper of many years, being a member of the Good Sam Campers Club. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She spent many winters in Avondale, Ariz., with her daughter, Marcia and son-in-law Jay, driving back and forth with her beloved dog, Sugar.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
