Langel, Evelyn R.
Evelyn R. Langel, 85, of Oelwein, died Friday afternoon, May 3, 2013, at Oelwein Health Care Center with her family at her side. Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with a CDA rosary at 4 p.m. and parish Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Evey is survived by her husband, Bill Langel of Oelwein; daughter, Debbie (Andrew) Bowmer of Palm Coast, Fla.; five sons, Mark Langel of Oelwein, Phil Langel of Oelwein, Kurt (Bobi) Langel of Fond du Lac, Wis., Marty (Janice) Langel of Cedar Rapids and Paul Langel of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Sacred Heart Catholic Church & School.
