Lang, Ines Beatrice 'Bea'
Ines Beatrice “Bea” Lang, 95, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton following a long illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, with Pastor Joshua Graber officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton.
Bea was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Caneyville, Ky., the daughter of Kelley and Eulah (Renfrow) Bolton. On Dec. 31, 1935, Bea was united in marriage with Paul Lang in Shenandoah, Iowa. Bea cared for children of working mothers for 14 ½ years. She also worked as a dietitian at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School until her retirement in 1983.
Bea was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Vinton.
Bea is survived by one son, Duane (Pat) Lang of Essex, Iowa; one sister, Anna Rose (Dean) Goodman of Diagonal, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; one son, Jim Lang; one daughter, Paula Gravel; four brothers and four sisters.
