Lance "Lanny" M. Humbert, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away March 27, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa, surrounded by loved ones. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at First Presbyterian Church, located at 310 Fifth St. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The funeral service will start at 11 a.m.

Those left to celebrate his life include his loving wife, Karen R. Humbert; sons, Ron Humbert (Kim/Patty), Scott Prandy (Karen) and Kalvin Prandy (Mary); and daughters, Tammy Etscheidt (Bill), Laurie Roth (Mark) and Dawn Pulford (Chris). He leaves 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and one expected in July; sister, Susan Schirm; along with one niece and one nephew; and a daughter-in-law, LaGay.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel (Meinert) Humbert and Fay Hillis Humbert; and his son, Mike Humbert.

Lanny was in the last class to graduate from Roosevelt High School. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois. He worked for several companies before establishing Humbert Art Service which he ran for 26 years providing advertising for numerous local companies, including Amana Refrigeration. He retired in his 60s, then worked for Barron's Auto Supply in Cedar Rapids for a number of years.
