Lancaster, Daniel William
Daniel William Lancaster, 58, of Cedar Rapids, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Guttenberg Care Center, Guttenberg. Visitation: noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Graveside services: 1 p.m. Monday, Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his two loving sisters, Diane M. Lancaster (Bruce Burg) of Cedar Rapids and Debra (Kelley) Lancaster Lyons of South Pittsburg, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Lancaster; and his parents, Dave and Doris Lancaster.
Danny was born April 12, 1954, in Burlington, Iowa. He will be remembered for his love of card games, animals and Dairy Queen. Danny was a constant customer of the D Avenue and 15th Street Dairy Queen. A gentle giant, he will live on in our hearts forever.

Enough thanks cannot be given to the wonderful staff of the Guttenberg Care Center, who so lovingly kept Danny's dignity and spirit alive for so many years. We also want to thank Iowa Hospice for their loving support.
