Lana Gloria (McKenna) Homewood, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Hospice of Mercy, Hiawatha. A memorial gathering will be from
4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sons, Blake (Kristi) Homewood and Mark (Kelly) Homewood, all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Andria Homewood, Shannon Homewood and Jason Homewood, all of Cedar Rapids; three great-grandchildren; one sister; three brothers; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Goldie McKenna; sons, Brian Homewood and Michael Homewood; and sister, LaVonne Frasher.
Lana was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of John and Goldie (Ross) McKenna. She graduated from Marion High School. Lana retired from Rockwell Collins. Family was the most important part of Lana's life. She was a very generous person. We will all miss her great sense of humor.
