Lampe, Paula Marie
Paula Marie Lampe was born Oct. 27, 1954, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Adella “Peg” (Evans) Boone. She received her Associate Degree in Business from Kirkwood Community College. On Oct. 26, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dale Lampe in Wellman. She had lived in the Wellman and Keota communities all of her life. She worked at the County Line Mart and at the Johnson County Planning and Zoning office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellman. She enjoyed rock hunting and antiques.
Paula died on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 57 years old.
Paula is survived by her husband, Dale of Keota; a daughter, Tonya Marie O'Neal (Shay) of Davenport; a son, Travis Lampe of North Liberty; two grandchildren, Ayden and Alyssa; a sister, Connie McKray (Jim) of Riverside; a sister-in-law, Mary Boone of Wellman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jackie Johnston; and two brothers, Alfred “Ole” Boone and Allan “Butch” Boone.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Wellman. Pastor Mark Larson will officiate. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
