Lamp, John Frederick
Funeral services for John Frederick Lamp, 95, of Tipton, who died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Tipton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

John was born June 12, 1917, in Cedar County, Iowa. On Jan. 26, 1937, John was united in marriage to Mabel Ellen Laucamp at the South Bethel Parsonage, rural Tipton. John was employed in sales and service.
John is survived by his wife, Mabel Ellen Lamp of Tipton; daughters, Margaret (Chet) Christianson of Anthem, Ariz., Millie Manatrey of Walnut, Ill., Elaine Holden of Des Moines, Patricia Harvey of Sunland, Calif. and Marilyn Mathias of St. Charles, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; grandson, Bart Holden; and son-in-law, Arlyn Holden.
