LaDonna Mae (Fisher) Roth, 74, of Belle Plaine, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Rose Haven Care Center in Marengo. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 23, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Belle Plaine. Burial will
be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.hrabakfuneralhome.com.
LaDonna was born Aug. 22, 1942, in Belle Plaine, to Milo M. and Maude (Jacobi) Fisher. She was raised in Belle Plaine and attended school there, graduating in May 1960. She attended Parks Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids, graduating in August 1961. Upon graduation, she worked at Maymett's Beauty Salon in Victor and then went on to own and operate her own beauty salons in Blairstown and Hartwick.
On May 31, 1963, she married Kenneth Dee Roth at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn. They made their home in Blairstown and Hartwick for a short period of time. They moved to Belle Plaine in May 1966, where they lived together for nearly 50 years before Kenneth passed away in 2015.
In 1972, Kenneth and LaDonna started an appliance business in Belle Plaine, where she worked for 30 years doing sales and accounting duties. LaDonna was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.
LaDonna is survived by two sons, Wade (Suzy) Roth of Marengo and Neal (Anna) Roth of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Jerome Mathis, Jarid Kalinay, Waylon Roth, Payton Roth and Jordan Roth; great- grandchildren, Owen Mathis and Cole Mathis; step-grandchildren, Steven Slechta and Megan (Joe) Trimble; step-great-grandchildren, Austin Trimble and Riley Trimble; brother, Dale (JoAnn) Fisher; foster sister, Margaret Ann (Steve) Short; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Ostrum, Shirley Blomme and Betty Roth; brothers-in-law, Cecil Roberts and Kenneth Bevins, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dee Roth; daughter-in-law, Lori Roth; her parents; brothers-in-law, Edward Roth, Wallace Roth, Donnie Blomme, Bruce Ostrum and Chuck Himschoot; and sisters-in-law, Vivian Himschoot, Elmira Bevins and Maxine Roberts.
