Lacy, Lloyd M.
Lloyd M. Lacy, 89, of Vinton, formerly of Marengo, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton, following an extended illness. Private family services will be held at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Neoma of Vinton; two daughters, Jeannene Ann Lacy of Hiawatha and Patricia Ann Lacy of Vinton; and six grandchildren, Christene Dietz of Cedar Rapids, Amy Jo Lacy, Caitlin Loney, Destiny Loney, Breanna Loney and Austin Douglas, all of Vinton. He is also survived by a brother, Larry Lee Lacy and wife Nancy of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alta Faas Lacy; and a brother, Leonard in 2005.
Lloyd was employed as a mechanic with Handler Motor in Cedar Rapids for 30 years and also worked with Potts Motor in Marengo for four years. Lloyd also farmed for 10 years in the Alburnett area.
