Kula, Lucille
Lucille Kula, 91, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairieburg, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Wayne Droessler will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Irene Kula, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Lester Kula and Sal Powers.
Lucille Marie Kula was born Feb. 17, 1919, near Prairieburg, the daughter of Albert R. and Emma A. (Holub) Kula. She received her education in the rural schools near her home. Lucille worked at Montgomery Ward in downtown Cedar Rapids for many years. She later cleaned at several businesses in Anamosa. Lucille moved to Silvercrest in September 2009.
