Kuhn, Jack

Jack Kuhn, 80, of Fort Collins, Colo., went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2013. Family and friends surrounded him at his home when he passed peacefully from this world.

Jack was born June 5, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa, to John and Margaret Kuhn. He grew up in Des Moines, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1951. Jack was a veteran of the Navy, having served during the Korean War. Jack returned to Des Moines, where he became an outstanding salesman for various industries. Jack married Betty (Greenland) on March 28, 1959, in Grand River, Iowa. Jack and Betty moved to Cedar Rapids in 1963 when Jack began selling insurance through Life Investors and later opened his own agency. In 1981, he moved the family to Fort Collins, Colo., where they continued to reside.

Jack loved the Lord, often sharing something new he had discovered in the Bible. He was an avid reader, pool player and truly enjoyed spending time with his family. On most days, you could catch him singing, dancing or whistling. His warm smile and enthusiasm could light up a room. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; four daughters, Pam (Jeff) Westrom of Cedar Rapids, Debbie Kuhn of Fort Collins, Colo., Teri Wells of Salt Lake City and Cherie Kuhn of Fort Collins, Colo.; and 11 grandchildren, Greg Westrom, Stephanie (Charlie) Vogl, Tiffany Westrom, Tim Westrom, Garrett Kuhn, Weston Wells, Whitney Wells, Jacob Williams, Jason Jackson, Liane Darby and Blaine Robinson.

His parents, John and Margaret Kuhn, and his sister, Donna Myers, preceded him in death.
