Kueter, Verna Mae
Verna Mae Kueter, 94, of Bellevue, died Monday, May 16, 2011, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue, where a Scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. today (before visitation).
Verna was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Orleans, Neb. She married Victor Kueter on Jan. 5, 1963, in Bellevue. He died July 4, 1988.
Surviving are three stepchildren, Dale (Helen) Kueter of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Richard) Reiter of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Sandy (Tom) Tegeler of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John (Evelyn) Specht of Sherrill and Robert (Bernie) Specht of Monmouth.
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marquette/St. Joseph Catholic Schools, or Bellevue Fire Department.
