Kruckenberg, Eleanor
Eleanor Kruckenberg, 96, of Lowden, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, in Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, with the Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet (William) Ketelsen of Durant; son, James (Sharon) of Lowden; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velma Butterbrodt of Tipton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, a granddaughter, one brother and one sister.
Eleanor was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Clarence, Iowa, to Ferd and Minnie Meier Hein. She married Gerhard Kruckenberg on Dec. 25, 1934, at Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Lowden.
Eleanor attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Clarence High School. She was a member of Trinity Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous.
