Krouse, Delno E.
Delno E. Krouse, 85, of Edmond, Okla., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Delno was born February 27, 1927 to Edd and Ruby May (Woolsey) Krouse. Delno graduated in Marshalltown, Iowa in 1945. He served two years in World War II. He then graduated from Westmar University with a B.A., Education in 1951. Later he graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with an M.A. in Guidance and Education. He served as a counselor in McKinley Jr. High School in Cedar Rapids for 20 years. Delno drove the school bus for Edmond Community Schools for several years.
He was a lifetime member of NEA and Phi Delta Kappa. He was a former member of Grace United Church of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Salem United Methodist Church of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Delno was a present member of First United Methodist Church of Edmond, Okla.
Delno married Ruth A. Runner Krouse on June 27, 1968, and they were blessed with two children, Linet D. Krouse, May 7, 1971, and Ted R. Krouse, July 7, 1973. He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Connley of Marshalltown, Iowa and Anna Louise Proctor of Albuquerque, N.M.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Edmond First United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond, Okla.
