Kroemer, Raymond C.
Raymond C. Kroemer, 91, of Lowden, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetary. Visitation: one hour before services at the church.
Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence is handling arrangements.
Raymond was born July 28, 1918, to Carl and Emma (Brauer) Kroemer in Clarence. He married Doris Marquette on May 9, 1943, in Stanwood. She died in 2006. Raymond had been a farmer and then retired from being a custodian at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. He was a Lions Club member and also a member of Cedar County Historical Society and Heritage Council on Aging. His church and family meant the most to him.
Survivors include son, Lawrence (Sue) of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Emmillee (Dale) Dennison of Eagan, Minn.; three grandchildren, Kurt Kroemer, Andy Kroemer and Susan Schappert; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Irma Armstrong.
