Krob, Grace
Grace Helen Krob, 97, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center. As per Grace's wishes, there will be no services.
Grace was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Christine (Sindelar) Rubek. She lived most of her life in Cedar Rapids. She graduated in 1930 from the old Washington High School. Grace married Henry G. Krob on Jan. 20, 1945, and lived in San Pedro, Calif., while Henry was in the Navy. They lived in California until World War II ended and they moved back to Cedar Rapids where their families and pharmacy business were located. Their daughter Carol was born in 1947. Grace's main career was being a wife and mother.
Grace is survived by cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in July 1999 and her daughter, Carol in February 2003.
