Kristi Jean Davidson, 61, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away after her courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, IA.
Kristi was born on February 18, 1963, in Sun Prairie, WI. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School before attending UW-La Crosse. She married Michael Davidson on September 20, 1986, in Madison, WI and moved to Cedar Rapids where they built a life together.
Kristi will be remembered for many things, but nothing more than her bright smile and kind personality. She devoted herself to her family and her faith. Kristi was known for her love of sports, especially watching her children compete and perform. Nothing brought her more joy than her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t caring for her own children, Kristi worked with elementary aged children in both the school and church. Kristi impacted many lives with her positive attitude and outlook on life.
Kristi is survived by her loving husband Mike; children Nicole (Bobby) Steggall, Ashley (Brandt) Anderson, Kaitlyn Davidson (Mitch), Tyler Davidson (Sam); grandchildren Kason and Annie; granddogs Tucker, Journey, Kai, and Poppy; parents George and Betty Conom; siblings Jamie (Tammy) Conom and Brian (Jonelle) Conom; mother-in-law Burnette Davidson; brother and sister-in-law; Pat and Cathy Davidson, and three nieces and five nephews.
Kristi was preceded in death by her father-in-law Richard Davidson.
To know Kristi, was to love Kristi. She is loved to heaven and back.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Stonebridge Church, 1829 Stoney Point Rd., SW Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 at 3:00 pm with service to follow at 4:30. In honor of Kristi’s bright personality, we invite you to wear any color that makes you happy.
