He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School in 1977, and later attended the University of Iowa. He was employed for 19 years with Endicott Johnson and for 10 years served as the vice president of Retail and Donated Goods at Goodwill of the Heartland. Greg greatly enjoyed his job with Goodwill, the clients they served and the mission the organization stood for.
Greg enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting with family, as well as coaching Little League football. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears. Above all his greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family, especially his son, who he called his best friend. He was a loving and caring person and will be greatly missed.
