Kramer, Steve
Steve Kramer, 55, formerly of Marion, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, after a brief illness at his home in Omaha. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, by the Rev. William B. Harnish. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Mason Cemetery, rural Cedar Bluffs.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie Ann Kramer; son, Michael (Alicia) Jacobs; daughter Amber Mulder and her fiance, Bill; three grandchildren, Damion, Tehya and Urijah; mother, JoAnn Kramer; sister, Billie (Sam) Atkinson; brother, Jack (Janel) Kramer; nieces, Amber and Ashley; and nephews, Ben and Trey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Kramer.
Steve was born May 1, 1958, in Ely, the son of Alfred and JoAnn (Koepping) Kramer. He married Laurie Kramer on July 7, 2001. Steve owned and operated Iowa Overdrive in Hiawatha before moving to Omaha, where he was employed as a research and development technician at Certified Transmissions. He was known to be a very good teacher, never pointing out mistakes, but instead showing patience and kindness.
Steve was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend, who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established in Steve's memory.
