Krakow, Dale E.
Dale E. Krakow, 69, of Marengo, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Katie Z. Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Iowa. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dale is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Scott Krakow (Ann) of Parnell and Steve Krakow of Marengo; a daughter, Leanne Brecht (Ron) of Marengo; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Monica, Brice, Lucas, Jacob, Katie, Blake, Kacey, John and Andy; 12 great-grandchildren, Korbyn, Taylie, Karter, Gavin, Brayden, Ty, Colton, Wyatt, Spencer, Sierra, Faith and Paige; four brothers, George (Dorothy), Elmer (Naomi), Wayne (Else), all of Marengo, and Clarence (Kathy) of Belle Plaine; and a sister, Lilly Schmutz of Muscatine. Also surviving are two stepsons, Chris and Curtis Roggentien.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl; two sisters, Betty and Emma; and a grandson, Trent.
A memorial fund has been established.
