Kouba, Edna Marie
Edna Marie Kouba, 96, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away May 30, 2010, in Apache Junction, Ariz. Private interment was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Jan. 29, 1914, in Poweshiek County, Iowa, a daughter of George A. and Rose (Staelens) Wilson, she married William J. Kouba on Dec. 21, 1933. The couple lived in the Cedar Rapids area until retiring to Arizona in 1976. He died Oct. 6, 1991.
Survivors include three daughters, Rose (Melvin) Delker of Amelia, Ohio and Apache Junction, Ariz., Delores (Marvin) Zeman of Weed, Calif., and Norma (Rodney) Ellis of Hinckley, Minn., and Apache Junction, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Bernice Popesh, Josephine Arens, Virginia McVey, Dorothy Walton and Elnora Schwab; a brother, Charles Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kris M. Delker; sisters, Arilla Prichard and Irline Vileta; and brother, George Wilson.
