KORYSSA ANN WEEKS
Cedar Rapids
Koryssa Ann Weeks passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, in the loving company of her husband, Dalton Stanfield Weeks, and mother, Wendy Danielson Kohl. We will celebrate her life from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at St Andrew Presbyterian Church in Iowa City.
Koryssa was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School. Throughout her life, Koryssa was more than you could put on paper. She showered her family in love and showed limitless devotion to her children, Rhyan (3) and Chevi (9). Koryssa found her soulmate, Dalton, in 2014, and married on March 9, 2018. On April 13, 2018, she welcomed her sweet baby angel, Rhyan, into the world.
Koryssa was a breath of fresh air. She kept everyone laughing with quick wit and sarcastic comments. No matter how awkward the situation, she had something to break the ice. She was passionate, kind and genuine. Koryssa was the friend you wanted around all the time. Even if she barely knew you she would give the shirt off her back. There was a not a single cat she would not give a home to. Somehow a couple dogs got in too and man were they spoiled. Sometimes we would get lucky enough to savor a bite of her famous tater tot casserole or a coveted bite of pickle wrap dip.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. We love you Kory, to the moon and back, even more. Until we see you again.
