Kortenkamp, Betty R.
Betty R. Kortenkamp, 66, of 3000 Sixth St., Marion, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at her home after a sudden illness. Per Betty's request there will be no public service. There will be a visitation at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include her three children, Kyla (Nathan) Doyle of Cedar Rapids, Beth Dudley and Jonathan Kortenkamp, both of Marion.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Brooke, Ashley, Austin, Halle and Braiden; a great-grandchild, Ethan; and a close friend, Ed Kortenkamp of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty was born on Aug. 4, 1946 in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Arthur Coleman Lee and Naomi Megonigle. Betty worked for the Linn County Recorder's Office and retired from there after several years of service.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed the time spent with her beloved family. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
