Kopaitich, Dolores M.
Dolores M. Kopaitich, 81, of Swisher, died at her home on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, after a long illness. Services: 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Tony; her children, Linda (Ernie) Bena, Larry (Carol) Gabrielson, Robin Zach and Gina Kopaitich; three brothers, Joseph (Pat) Rizzio, David (Sandy) Rizzio and Daniel Rizzio; 13 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marilyn Rizzio.
Dolores was born March 9, 1932, in Lincoln, Neb., the daughter of George and Rose Pusateri Rizzio. She married Anthony P. “Tony” Kopaitich on Nov. 6, 1960, in Cedar Rapids. Dolores was owner and operator of Artistic Beauty Salon, retiring in 1995.
Dolores enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and especially the time spent with her beloved family. Her memory will always be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established.
