Koopman, Vannie F.
Vannie F. Koopman, 73, of North Liberty, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The family will host a memorial celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the home of Faye and Jeff Murguia, 125 N. Dubuque St., North Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Vannie Koopman Memorial Fund. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
Vannie was born Nov. 23, 1937, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Jessie and Velma (Beaman) Landess. Upon retirement, she moved to North Liberty in 2001.
Survivors include her daughters, Faye Murguia (Jeff) of North Liberty, and Leslie Andrews (Chuck) of Grapevine, Texas; sons, Michael Koopman (Katherine) and Thomas Koopman; brother, Jack Landess (Laura) of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
