Kolosick, James 'Jim' L.
James “Jim” L. Kolosick, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services:
1:30 p.m. Monday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Del Bear. Family will greet friends from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; his children, Linda (David) Smith and Richard (Pam) Kolosick, of Cedar Rapids; two foster children, Roy (Denise) Schulze and Rion (Stephanie) Schulze, of Norway; and his grandchildren, Kelley Grim, Margaret, Jessica, Kadee, Taylor, Emma and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James was born July 20, 1928, the son of Charles and Della (Bosworth) Kolosick, in Cedar Rapids. On Aug. 3, 1956, he was united in marriage to Florence Bailey in Bellville, Mich. James retired from King's in 1989, after 30-plus years of service.
He was a 50-year member of the Teamsters Local 238, a member of the Veteran's Public Safety and King's Retirees.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of James.
